Studio Directors or their designated representatives may pick up school packets and badges at the information table in the lobby.
No one will be allowed backstage without a pass.
(All dancers should arrive at least an hour before their performance and be ready to dance. Please remember that we may start early.)
Only students from each category will be permitted in the backstage dressing rooms at any time. Once you finish competing, please take all your costumes and personal belongings and exit the dressing area. Between variations, use the side stage door to the theater. Please avoid using the doors when someone is performing on stage.
Dancers may warm up in the pass-through hall and the Dancers Lounge, which is located off the hall on the main floor. Food is only allowed in the Dancers Lounge, not in the theater. Only dancers, teachers, and dressers should be in the lounge. Audience members are encouraged to watch the performance in the theater.
Score Sheets can be picked up after the awards ceremony at the Judge’s table. Only the school director or their representative may collect the packet of score sheets using the school code.
Score Sheets and awards will only be mailed if a shipping and handling fee is paid. If you cannot stay for the awards ceremony, please email Classic the following day, and an invoice for shipping and handling will be sent to you. It’s always advisable to assign a school representative to collect all score sheets and your student’s awards if you or your students cannot stay.
Celebrating 15 Years of Footwork
Since 2011, The Official Connecticut Classic Ballet Scholarship Competition has been dedicated to nurturing and showcasing the talents of pre-professional ballet students. As we mark our 15th anniversary, we reflect on a legacy of providing a platform for aspiring dancers to shine on our stage. Our mission has always been to foster an environment where students experience a profound sense of personal achievement and gain invaluable insights into the artistic and technical aspects of ballet and dance.
Join us in celebrating 15 years of exceptional talent, rigorous training, and transformative experiences, as we honor the journey of countless dancers who have stepped into the spotlight and reached new heights in their dance careers. Here's to many more years of inspiring performances and future successes!
